SHPB

SHPB (Split Hopkinson Pressure Bar)

SHPB is data analyzing software for outputs of the special SHPB instrument. The software has been developed originally for Prof. Pääkkönen's exciting research work. In this Hopkinson project it was discovered the that modulus of polymer is about three times higher during the first 0-50 micro seconds at high >1000/s shear rate. With this software and new principle it has been possible to compute for the first time moduls results for these very short time sonar deformations (t<0.0001s).

Traditional and well-known Split-Hopkinson-Pressure-Bar (SHPB) method, which is widely used for dynamic materials testing at very high strain rates up to the order of 103/s. This intelligent principle is used for rocks, aluminum etc., but now it gives us a new understanding of polymers.

SHPB-Software looks as RheoDeveloper program. If you are interested, please contact us. You find here our Contact Information. New information of structure with a small start-up time at a high rate.

Development State

For delievery is needed some coding and tuning for data exchange between your device and software.
